Background overview
Lexington Sporting Club is part of a fast-growing chapter in US soccer, with new investment and community momentum driving the development of modern, purpose-built venues. This includes the club’s new stadium in Lexington, Kentucky, which opened with a capacity of around 7,500 and provision to expand as the club grows.
For this venue, the club wanted a complete LED platform that would elevate match presentation, strengthen commercial opportunities and set a new benchmark for its men’s, women’s and grassroots teams.
The project originated through Stadium Structures, who brought EcoVista into the delivery team based on previous successful collaborations and EcoVista’s extensive experience delivering LED solutions for major sports venues. With the LED displays already procured by the client, EcoVista’s role focused on designing, engineering and installing a fully integrated stadium-wide system.
Clients challenge
The project centred on a brand-new stadium, meaning every LED structure and mounting solution had to be engineered from scratch. This included designing substantial monopole structures for the two main scoreboards and developing a full installation plan that worked with the LED products already purchased.
Compliance with US building and electrical regulations added another layer of complexity. EcoVista worked alongside a US structural engineer and a local steel fabricator to ensure all components met local codes. At the same time, installation had to be delivered within a live construction site, requiring precise sequencing and close coordination with Stadium Structures, the stadium contractor and multiple on-site teams.
To maintain quality and ensure a seamless integration, EcoVista deployed a UK-led engineering team for extended periods in Lexington, taking responsibility for installation, wiring and commissioning.
Our solution
EcoVista delivered a complete turnkey LED solution that combined international engineering expertise with local US compliance.
Two large monopole scoreboards were engineered and installed using Absen’s A0621 6 mm outdoor LED, with each display measuring 8 metres by 4.48 metres. The monopoles were custom-designed and fabricated in the US under EcoVista’s direction.
A final stadium-mounted feature display, also based on Absen A0621 and measuring 3.84 metres by 2.24 metres, was added to the rear of the hospitality stand to provide an additional branded focal point for visitors.
Throughout the programme, EcoVista worked hand in hand with Stadium Structures and the wider project team to ensure every element was installed safely, efficiently and in alignment with the stadium’s overall construction timeline.

result
The LED system has transformed the visual identity of Lexington Sporting Club’s new home. The twin scoreboards deliver a striking presence at each end of the field, the full-video perimeter elevates match presentation across all competitions and the hospitality display enhances the venue’s storytelling and sponsorship opportunities.
The project stands as a strong example of EcoVista’s ability to deliver internationally – blending UK engineering excellence with US code compliance and local partnerships to realise a robust, high-impact LED platform that continues to perform reliably since opening.
